English: NAVAL STATION GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA-Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Morse lifts a Marine aboard a Coast Guard response boat as part of a mock medical extraction during a joint training exercise in Guantanamo Bay today. Morse is a member of Port Security Unit 305, which practiced evacuating the "injured" Marine from a remote area on the base to the Naval Station's medical facilities. The Fort Eustis, Va.-based unit's main mission here since November has been providing anti-terrorism and fleet protection. This includes patrolling the waterways around the U.S. Naval Station and Camp America as well as providing internal security during the commissions at the Expeditionary Legal Complex here. |
