English: U.S. Army Sgt. Steven Nix, an indirect fire infantryman with 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, gives last minute guidance to an Afghan National Army soldier leveling a 60 mm mortar during a "train-the-trainer" range evaluation on Forward Operating Base Thunder April 13, 2013. The ANA soldiers are military tactics trainers here for the 203rd ‚ "Thunder" Corps. With the completion of this evaluation, all 203rd Corps 60 mm mortar training will be provided by these newly-minted trainers. The transfer of this responsibility from International Security Assistance Forces to the ANA is one of many important milestones on the road to Afghanistan exerting full security responsibility across the country by the end of 2014.
