Summary
[edit]DescriptionCoal for Didcot power station. - geograph.org.uk - 947712.jpg |
English: A coal train heads south for Didcot power station Taken to the south of Aynho Junction. Didcot power station used to get some its coal from the East Midlands coalfield, now it is imported as most of the mines are shut. Running through the closed station at Aynho another load of coal heads south. In those days one would expect a coal train south almost every hour. These days it would be rare to see any coal heading through this spot. The hedge has grown as well! |
