English: Tennessee Historical Commission marker in Briceville, Tennessee, USA recalling the Coal Creek War, a coal miners' uprising in the 1890s that erupted over Tennessee's controversial practice of convict-leasing.
  • Most of the violence occurred in Briceville and the nearby towns of Coal Creek (now Lake City) and Oliver Springs.
