18 Fountain County in years passed has not been regarded as a dairy county, but conditions are rapidly changing in re- gard to this industry. Some fundamentals prior to the under- taking of dairying is being advanced by the club people. Within the last five years the number of pure-bred dairy cattle has doubled and a pure-bred dairy sire is now used. The test- ing of dairy cattle for tuberculosis has also come within the last five years. The first work of this kind was done by the vocational class at Veedersburg three years ago. At present we have 75 men signed up for tuberculosis test with 500 cows. These men are lending a helping hand by using their herds to improve the health of Fountain County. We plan to boost
