Description

Clouds over sagebrush steppe at sunset, view north toward Wall Mountain from Butcher Flat, High Rock Desert, elevation 1695 m (5560 ft), 5 August 1993.

A welcome reward after a long day of rare plant field surveys many years ago.

From Kodachrome-64 color transparency film exposed with an Olympus OM-4T and Tamron 28-70mm zoom-macro lens. Scanned at 4000 dpi with a Nikon Coolscan 5000, and restored using Corel Paintshop Pro X4.
