English: This image, acquired by one of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites on 31 March 2021, shows a cloud-free view of a part of Belgium and the Netherlands. On 31 March, the sky over Central Europe was completely cloudless for the third day in a row, due to a robust high-pressure system present in the region. On the day this image was acquired, several monthly temperature records for March were broken in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg and Slovenia — among the most significant were a recorded temperature of 26.1°C in Arcen in the Netherlands and 25.5°C in Angleur in Belgium. The Copernicus Earth Observation Programme consists of six thematic services, including the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) that supports society, science and decision makers by providing authoritative information about the past, present and future climate in Europe and the rest of the world. |
