Description This Clouded Yellow butterfly was bred in the restored butterfly house at Winston Churchill's old home of Chartwell. Churchill was keen on butterflies from an early age and while war was brewing he was planning a breeding programme at his home. The house is now in the care of the National Trust and they have restored the butterfly house and breed a number of local species. The butterfly keeper had just released this one and I took its picture while it was warming itself up on a nearby wall.
