Description
English: Closeup of Stand for musical chimes depicting a mythical winged creature Tomb 1 Dayun Mountain Xuyi Jiangsu Western Han 2nd century BCE Bronze inlaid with silver in the collections of the Nanjing Museum. Mythical winged creatures gained prominence in the Eastern Zhou period (771-221 BCE) and by the Western Han period had been fully incorporate into Chinese culture.
