Close up of the Trifid Nebula (M20)

The Trifid Nebula (M20) is named after the trisected red hydrogen side, but it is most well known for it’s blue-red duality. It’s really quite bright but pretty dainty so I had to get up close with a 1645mm focal length. I threw away about half of the acquired data to only stack the best I could and though it’s not perfect it sure feels good to get out under a clear sky with the telescope again!

It’s been a while since I’ve shot this or anything high-focal length for a while so this was super fun to do over 2 nights.
