English: Close-up of bridge 17, Grand Union Canal Looking west at bridge 17 spanning Napton Junction (better known to boaters as Wigram's Turn). The Grand Union Canal turns sharply north through the bridge on its route to Birmingham.
This bridge was built in the 1930s as part of widening and improvements to the Grand Union canal which had been formed in 1929 by amalgamation of several smaller canal companies. See also [1], [2] and [3] . |
