It is celebrated for its massive Norman masonry, the beautiful choir, the east window (the largest in the world), and the magnificent tower 275 feet high. The Cloisters were commenced in 1351-77 by Thomas Horton, and completed by Abbot Froucester in 1407; they are the finest in the kingdom. |
