Description
English: Clock, Japanese lantern verge and suspended wheel escapement, brass frame and wheels. Locking plate half hour strike (sequence 9-1-8-2-7-1-6-2-5-1-4-2-9, hours are 9,8,7,6,5,4 and half hours are struck 2 or 1 depending on whether the hour is odd or even. Spring driven alarm with spring in Going barrel is wound with key above dial and set by sliding control on dial. Fixed single hand with dial rotating once daily and sliding hour and half hour numerals. Simple calendar has two wheels, the left one with 12 teeth, the right one with 10 teeth, each advanced daily by one tooth and thus together indicating the date on a 60 day cycle. Case (.2) has turned corner pillars and floral engraving on all sides. Mock pendulum attached to rim of balance wheel is seen through slit in cylinder below balance wheel. Driven by a single weight but not using endless cord principle. Outer case glass with brass corners and wooden bases.
