Summary

[edit]
Description

This window consists of restored fifteenth to seventeenth century quarries and armorials. There is a silver stained Tudor portcullis, the quarries containing birds in different poses. There is also a cormorant displaying. There are other examples of these birds in Saint Mary, Clothall, possibly by the same artist.

The arms depicted are Stamford, Browne, Catesby, Colville, and Neville.

The Royal arms of France and England and the red rose of Lancaster with the Prince of Wales feathers are also seen.

It is said that the glass was brought from the old church at Pickworth.
