The hair on the head rows long, the heard is veryscanty or tails to appear, the breasts are large and sometimes contain secre-tion, the waist is small, andthe hips are broad. A reg-ular monthly discharge ofblood and mucus from thegenitalia or the urethra hasbeen noted in several in-stances. It is not strangethat such creatures should heregarded as females, for theonly true mark of their sexmay not be discoverable tillafter death. The best proofsof sex during lift1 are affordedby the presence of spermaticparticles in the discharge ac-companying sexual excite-ment in the male and by im-pregnation in the female. Inintermediate grades the ex-ternal genitals may not bemuch affected, and the uterusmasculinus and vagina may open into the urethral canal of a fairly well
