the picture was made. It was very clearly located nearwhere the first linger joins the wrist (see Fig. 3.) Thetime of exposure used in locating these bullets varied fromeight to twenty minutes. A man had carried a piece ofsteel, from a hammer, in his arm near the elbow for nine-teen years. It was easily located. Many cases of injuries to the fingers caused bymachinery have been studied. Figure 4 shows the injuryclone by a planing machine, taken through the bandages,while Figure 5 shows the result produced by cog wheels.Fractures produced by base ball playing, and malformationsof the bones have been photographed. Attempts to diagnosesupposed cases of tuberculosis of the joints have beenpartially successful. The entire arm is photographed readily. Every bone is shown with perfect dis-tinctness in the original negative, and a surprising amountof detail, for a mere shadow is seen at the joints.
