Description |
Looking northeast from Public Square. A horse and buggy is parked on Superior Avenue. Several figures are standing at the corner of Superior and East 3rd street, and one is wearing a sandwich board. From 1875 to 1916 Cleveland's City hall was located in the Case Block, a large building at Superior and East 3rd. The City sublet excess space in the building for retail stores on the ground floor, for artist studios on the top floor, and to the Cleveland Public Library from 1875 to 1879. The Case Block was built around 1865 and demolished in 1916. |
