Description

Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel' 5/2021 Clematis- (Ruppel, 1975) Bi-colored Clematis (Type2-SL-PK), Mature size: 6-10’, Pink tepals w/carmine bar & light chocolate anthers, USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Michigan Bloom Month 5c, In Garden Bed S1,2c for 11.0 YEARS (Mejers,). Planted in 2010.

West slope, two-tone rose pink with deep carmine stripes. No support, in the middle of S1. Growing on dead shrub. First flush of flowers is on the previous year's growth. Second flush of flowers is on the new growth. Second flush will likely be smaller and flowers that were double the first time may be single the second time.
