Summary
[edit]DescriptionClaxton House - geograph.org.uk - 148317.jpg |
English: Claxton House. On Church Lane between Claxton and Ashby St. Mary, it was originally built as a hunting lodge by Mr Lannon, who was editor of Punch Magazine. It was left to the church in the 1920s and became the Rectory. It once had tall chimneys but these were blown down in the gales of 1987 and were never replaced. |
