Arms of Claxton of Suffolk: Gules, a fess between three hedgehogs argent over all in the dexter chief on a flaunch barry of ten argent and gules a canton of the first charged with three martlets of the second (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.200 "Claxton of Suffolk", amended to match ledger stone in St Mary Magdalene Church, Pulham Market, Norfolk, of Thomas Claxton (1633-1681), a merchant of the City of London.
