In LateralPockets the ridges containing the points of thecore have their exits on the same side of theright delta ; in Twinned Loops the ridges contain-ing the points of the core have their exits ondifferent sides of the right delta. Both types ofpattern are, as already stated, included under Com-posites, and further differentiation may appear un-necessary ; but in practice it will be found very usefulto have such a clear distinction between patterns whichin general appearance closely resemble each other. Accidentals.—Under Composites are also in-cluded the relatively small number of patterns tooirregular in outline to be grouped under CentralPockets, Lateral Pockets, or Twinned Loops ; theyare termed in the absence of a better nomenclature,Accidentals (Figs 33, 34, 35, 36 and Illustrations 125to 132 inclusive).
