Clasp BOOK FITTING
Description
English: Cast copper-alloy book-clasp; incomplete, small. Hinged, double-sided rectangular plate with squared end and two rivet holes. The loop has a central hole and the reverse is flat; it may have terminated in a zoomorphic extension, although this is now missing. Even pale green patina on plate, mid-grey loop.
