White paper with typed black text

Mr. William M. Beard Judge Advocate-in-Chief, S.C.V. 66 Elm Street Westfield, New Jersey Dear Mr. Beard: Thank you for your kind letter of September 30. It was a distinct honor and privilege for me to be able to attend the dedication ceremonies of the Soldiers and Sailors of the Confederacy Memorial. I am pleased that you appreciate the areas preserved in the National Park Service and approve of the methods we use in managing and interpreting the national parks. We strive to provide a friendly and informative touch in our interpretive services program. This is the hallmark of the National Park Service and we are gratified that these services meet your standards. Again, may I thank you for your kind words about the National Park Service and Superintendent Wing of Gettysburg National Military Park. Please feel free to visit with me any time you are in Washington. Sincerely yours, A. Clark Stratton
