Description Clara Hall, a research chemist for 40 years at the National Institute of Arthritis, Metabolism and Digestive Diseases, now NIDDK, worked with Dr. Elizabeth Neufeld, who won the Lasker Award for Clinical Medical Research (1982) and National Medal of Science (1994). They investigated inherited lysosomal disorders which can cause skeletal abnormalities and intellectual disabilities as well as shortened lifespan.
