Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans, by Jay Dearborn Edwards

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: View of 100 and 200 blocks of South Claiborne Avenue in the Central Business District from the corner of Tulane Avenue. A row of two story frame residences with wooden fences and gates are to the right while a portion of the Claiborne Market is to the left. Small trees line the unpaved street and brick sidewalks; many people are standing in the street.

Photo by Jay Dearborn Edwards. Considered to probably be from 1858, but possibly up to 3 years later.
