The Corps of Engineers’ Kenny Crumholt, team leader, and Tim Roth, resident engineer, visit construction of a $61.7 million system in New Orleans. Alan Hunter, the Corps’ New Orleans area engineer, watches (background, blue shirt). It’s part of the SELA rain-flood project for the metro area, featuring new or improved drainage canals and expansion of pump-station capacity. This work is at South Claiborne and Napoleon in the Uptown neighborhood, at the intersection of the system’s new canals."
