Description Cladonia boryi Tuck. (photograph of a herbarium specimen taken through a dissecting microscope (x21) showing the upper portions of podetia) Growing on thin soil over granite outcrops in mixed forest at Blackwoods Camping Area, Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Hancock County, Maine, USA; collected and identified by A. Norden and B. Norden (No. 662, 4 Jun 1974); specimen is now in the Lichen Herbarium of the New York Botanical Garden.
