Description
English: City Wall to Bawling Tower Looking along a section of York City Walls, on an especially narrow section (hence the iron railing) to Bawling Tower (with the benches). Bawling Tower was so named due to the bending or bowing of the wall at this point. It was known as Frost Tower in the C15th, named after William Frost, the Lord Mayor of York. And when rebuilt in 1888 as Robin Hood's Tower.
