Description
English: City Sightseeing Dublin bus (reg. 87 D 39112), a 1987 MCW Super Metrobus 3-axle 12-metre long open top double-decker. It's one of 3 such buses on loan to the franchise operator Dualway following a fire in which they lost 15 buses during Easter. Aside from the red City Sightseeing branding, it largely still wears the red & white colours, markings and fleetnumber (EMB768, reg. E768 JAR) of its former operator, Arriva's London tourist operation, The Original Tour. It was built in Britain by MCW as a high capacity conventional bus for the export market, and was only converted to an open top bus later in its life. It was delivered new to China Motor Bus (bus ML57, reg. DU8346) of Hong Kong, passing to the fleet of New World First Bus when they took over the franchise in 1998. In 2000 it was sold to the Original Tour.
