DESCRIPTION
Postcard of City Hall in Keene New Hampshire, located on the east side of Central Square. The land was purchased in 1848 and Charles Edward Parker of Boston, son of Elijah Parker and a Keene native, was chosen as the architect. The building was dedicated with a Grand Citizens' Ball on Feb.28, 1849. (The awning was removed in 1928; the tower was removed in 1955; and the roof was lowered in 1960.)
