Description Laut Hipp: Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, DuMont Kunst-Reiseführer befinden sich auf dem Rathaus Figuren, die die Kirchspiele und Klöster der Stadt symbolisieren. Das Schwert als Heiligenattribut deutet auf Paulus hin. Die Schusslöcher könnten auf die de:Sülzeunruhen (lokale Novemberrevolution in Hamburg) zurückzuführen sein.
