This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 73001586.

Description The Pittsburgh City-County Building in 1984, with a trolley (streetcar) on 4th Avenue in the foreground. Streetcar/trolley service in downtown Pittsburgh ended in 1985, when a new light-rail subway replaced in-street operation. In the last several years of service, streetcars only used the 4th Avenue tracks for a few rush-hour trips, and Port Authority Transit referred to this routing in downtown as the "short loop".
