English: This photo was shot using a Cannon 35mm camera with specialty black and white film. This cemetery is specifically Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. NOLA is known for their above ground cemeteries. They are collectively known as Cities of the Dead. The way the residents of NOLA respect and bury their dead is a huge part of their culture. Above ground cemeteries can only be found in New Orleans. |
