Description
English: Circumcision of youths scene at the door post of a tomb in Saqqara, dated to the reign of pharaoh Teti (c. 2500 BC).

Left: The surgeon addresses his assistant: "hold him; do not allow him to stir (? or, to fall back)", to which he replies: "I'll do at thy bidding". Below a word (sbt, an infinitive?) and "prophet" (an operation performed [by] the prophet?).

Right: The operator says "I shall do you good", the youth says: "(oh?) physician, (this?) is excellent".
