Circular Plate BROOCH
Description
English: Cast copper-alloy plate brooch. Circular. Raised central, circular field with central recess with central annulet with hollow centre, for missing gem/glass setting. Traces of cement within recess. The slightly raised outer border is knurled on its inner edge. Much of the gilding survives on the upper surface, apart from on the upper edge of the raised central element. Pin missing. Single, pierced lug for hinged pin. Iron corrosion on lug from pin.Catchplate mostly intact, but edge missing. Traces of white metal coating on reverse surface.
