English: Site of Churn station, 1984. View NW, towards Didcot: ex-GWR, originally Didcot Newbury & Southampton Railway. This line, which had been upgraded as an important north-south link in World War II, was closed to passengers south of Newbury from 7/3/60, Didcot - Newbury from 10/9/62 and goods from 10/8/64: by 1984 it is just a path. |
