Description
English: Caption text says "It was here in this churchyard of St. Giles, Stokes Poges, England, that Thomas Gray, the English poet, wrote his Elegy in a Country Churchyard. The Manor-house of the town is mentioned in his Long Story. His home has been kept as a memorial, and a monument to his memory is in Stokes Park. He lies buried with his mother in the churchyard which gave him his inspiration."
