Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Churchyard. The churchyard for 43249 is divided in two by 461473.

The original yard, the one containing the earlier burials, surrounds the church on the northern side of the lane. The extension (the ground shown here) is on the southern side of the lane.

This northerly facing photograph is looking toward an entrance (there is more than one) to the cemetery . Beyond the gate is Ault Hucknall Lane.

"To the left (westerly) of the cross there are two graves that caught my eye. The first has a 452665 to an A. Walker (no relation). However, it wasn't the name so much as the latter part of the inscription that caught my eye. "The second 452673 contains just a name, Jozef Gierut, with birth and death dates. Both stones are memorials to men who died shortly after the end of Second World War."
