English: Site of Churchdown station, 1986. View NE, towards Cheltenham etc.: ex-GW & Midland Joint Gloucester etc. - Cheltenham etc. main line. This important line had been quadrupled for War traffic in 1942, but reverted to double-track in 1967. Churchdown station was closed from 2/11/64. (See also several other scenes, SO8820 : Cheltenham - Paddington express passing Churchdown station etc.). |
