The Anglican Church of the Apostles in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Anglican Church of the Apostles in Fairfax County, Virginia. Founded in 1968, Apostles was a prominent charismatic and evangelical parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia until 2007, when it departed as part of the Anglican realignment. In 2012, Apostles turned over its building at 3500 Pickett Road in Fairfax to the diocese, which in turn sold it to another church. (As of 2023, that church has been torn down and replaced by a housing subdivision.) In 2019, Church of the Apostles—affiliated with the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic in the Anglican Church in North America—consecrated the newly constructed building pictured here at 11717 Lee Highway in Fairfax County.
