| Description |
English: Church Lane, Rochdale The vacant plot at the left was formerly occupied by the Municipal High School for Boys, at which I was a reluctant pupil for a short while; these were the days of the fearsome Doctor Payne as headmaster. Usually when I visit a site where an interesting building has been demolished, I feel some pangs of regret; however, I will make an exception in this case. |
