Description Church of St. Thomas in Stanningley Road, close to the junction with Town Street. It was completed in 1841 in the Norman style with stone tiled pyramid spire. The foundation stone was laid on 5th November 1839 and St. Thomas's was consecrated on 29th March 1841. The Church is surrounded by a Churchyard and could accommodate 450 people for services.
