Summary
[edit]DescriptionChrysler Peruvian presidential limousine.jpg |
English: Very rare, 1973 Chrysler New-Yorker Limousine.
This heavily armored specimen was donated by the Chrysler corporation to the Peruvian government in late 1972. Since then, the cars had been used to transfer the leaders who ruled Peru until 1985, the last year they were used. The cars then officially became part of Peru's cultural heritage. Auctioned off by the peruvian government on February 26th 2007, this one fetched approx. $8,300 from a private collector. Amazingly, it seemed to still have its factory tires! Its length is 21.75 feet and its weight, a whopping 9,557 pounds. |
