De hogepriester heeft zijn handschoenen uitgetrokken en scheurt zijn kleren. De soldaat naast Christus staat op het punt om hem te slaan. Tegen de achterwand van het interieur boven de deuropening hangen twee keurvorstelijke en hertogelijke wapens van Saksen op schilden.
