De prent is afkomstig uit een van de uitgaven van P.J. Paets uit Amsterdam. De prent kan al gebruikt zijn in: Der Zielen Lust-hof. Leuven, I.Jacbosz voor P.J. Paets [= Amsterdam, P.J. Paets], 1629. Ze komt in ieder geval voor in: 't Schat der Zielen. Amsterdam, P.J. Paets, 1648. De voorstelling is gekopieerd naar een prent van Johann I Sadeler naar Maerten de Vos.
