The Joint Commission is composed ofstrong representative men, twenty-fivefrom each church, including five bishops.The Northern Commission embracesBishops Cranston (a strong advocate ofunion), Hamilton, McDowell, Leete,and Cooke; also Chancellor Day, ofSyracuse University, Hon. Charles W.Fairbanks, ex-Vice-President of theUnited Stales, and Judge Henry WadeRogers of the United States CircuitCourt, New York. The Southern Com-mission includes Bishops Candler, Hoss,Denny, Murrah and Mouzon, and wellknown ministers and laymen. Amongthe latter are five lawyers and judges.
