  • Dansk: Motivet er fra Dælivannet nær Skredsvigs gård Fleskum i Bærum. Skredsvig udførte maleriet i sommeren 1886 - den såkaldte Fleskumsommer i norsk kunst - da han og en række andre malere var samlede på hans gård.

  • Dansk: Maleriet blev i efteråret 1886 vist på 'Høstutstillingen' på Nasjonalgalleriet i Kristiania (Olso) (hvor Andreas Aubert kaldte det "et av udstillingens mest fremragende Værker") og derpå på salonen i Paris næste år, før det i november 1887 blev erhvervet af museet.
