Description
The Danish writer B.S. Ingemann wrote the play in 1816, and labeled it as A Tragedy i Five Acts. The play was based on the story of a Christian army that defeated the moors at Navas de Tolosa near Linares in southern Spain in 1212. The shepherd guided the army through a mountain pass, thereby surprising the moors.
