Description Cherry Meyer, flanked by husband Bob Meyer and Boat Operator Robert Martens, christens the Clem Meyer II with a bottle of champagne while Col. Anthony Hofmann watches. Cherry is Clem Meyer's daughter-in-law. The vessel is an inspection vessel which supports operation and maintenance of the Missouri River Bank Stabilization and Navigation Project. Clem began his career with the Kansas City District in 1927 and served 46 years, retiring as the chief of Operations Division in 1973. Photo by Amy Phillips.
