Description
English: Horse and buggy in front of Chouteau's Pond. The view is south to Eighth and Gratiot Streets. A few fishermen stand near the carriage and there are a few boats out on the water. Some architecture can be seen across the pond which includes the octagonal roof of the Missouri Medical College and the tower of Kemper College. "Chouteau's Pond taken July 18, 1854, By T.M. Easterly, Dgn" is inscribed along the bottom edge.
